• What is Axle?
Axle is an insurance verification platform designed for U.S. insurance carriers. It securely and automatically shares and updates user’s auto insurance coverage with Kliks by connecting to over 90% of US insurance carriers. This integration eliminates the need to manually upload or re-upload insurance documents to Kliks, ensuring continuous insurance compliance.

  • I already provided my insurance information to Kliks via a similar method. Why do I need to do this again?
Kliks switched our insurance partner from MeasureOne  to Axle for insurance verification for the following reasons:

  • Better Service: Axle offers improved service compared to our previous partner, MeasureOne.

  • Real-time Updates: Axle can retrieve user’s  insurance information super fast and keeps an eye on it for any changes or renewals (aka monitoring).

  • Set it and Forget it: Users  only need to connect their insurance carrier once and won't have to upload documents every year.

  • Why are we using Axle for insurance verification?
We utilize Axle to optimize insurance verification, bolster security, and maintain up-to-date insurance records. This ensures continuous compliance with the user’s mileage reimbursement program and reduces administrative tasks by eliminating annual insurance document uploads.

Security and Privacy

  • Is my information secure with Axle?
Yes, Axle is designed with robust security measures to protect personal  data. The platform follows strict safeguards, including bank-level encryption, compliance with SOC 2 security standards, and limited-scope data access, ensuring that only the information necessary for verification is retrieved. Users' credentials are never stored by us—instead, a unique encrypted code is used to retrieve  auto insurance policy information through Axle’s encrypted systems.

  • How does Axle automatically update my insurance information?
Axle integrates with insurance carriers to automatically retrieve and update coverage details as they change. This means users won't have to manually upload new documents when the policy renews or is updated. (for U.S. carriers, only)

  • What if I need to update my insurance information manually?
While Axle is designed for automatic updates, there will be an option for the user to manually update  information if necessary. Instructions for this process are provided in the Kliks web application.

  • What if my insurance provider is not supported by Axle?
In cases where an  insurance carrier is not integrated with Axle, the user will be able to upload their auto insurance coverage policy (aka declaration form).

For Kliks drivers outside the US.

  • Axle is fully functional for U.S. drivers, only. If a user has insurance coverage from a carrier that is not based in the United States—such as in Canada or Puerto Rico—they will be able to upload their insurance document. Kliks will manually review these cases to ensure the coverage meets compliance requirements. Note: documentation must be in English.
