Managers can assume the identity of the users they manage in Kliks in order to help them with questions or to perform certain actions on their behalf.  Kliks refers to this as: Impersonation.

An example of when a manager would want to impersonate a user: if an employee goes on vacation and forgets to submit mileage for approval/reimbursement, a manager can go into the Kliks web application and submit mileage on behalf of that employee.

Some things to note about impersonating users:

  • Managers can only impersonate the users they manage.
  • When impersonating a user and performing an action (e.g., submitting trips for approval), Kliks records these actions as if the user performed the action, not the Manager doing the impersonation.
  • Managers cannot impersonate Company Admins.

How to Impersonate a User

1.
In the left-navigation, hover over the users icon, and click on Managed Users

2.
The Managed Users page will be displayed. For the users you manage, you will see an Impersonate button. Clicking this button will allow you to impersonate the user.

3.
When you’re done impersonating the user, click the Stop Impersonation button at the top of the page.
