Overview
If your company does not need to use the Kliks mobile app or web app to automatically record and save trips, you can also upload a list of trips via a CSV file.
Importing trips via a CSV file is helpful for companies who have static and recurring trips with the same start and end destinations.
For example, your business requires field service personnel or customer service agents to drive to the same destinations each week to visit existing customers / contacts.
This allows you to leverage Kliks to streamline and eliminate manual effort to: calculate trip distances, trip amount calculations, and the mileage reimbursement approval workflow (submit trips, review and approve, reimburse).
How to Enable This Feature
This feature is not enabled automatically. If you would like to use this feature, please contact our support team. They will be able to enable it for you within minutes. :)
Details
When you upload a list of trips via a CSV file, you will be asked to:
- Review the import request for valid and invalid trips (if any).
- Confirm you would like to import the trips into Kliks.
- Once you confirm, the trips will be created in our system and you will be able to submit them for approval.
Invalid Trips
The Kliks system will list invalid trips and you will not be able to import them. For each invalid trip, you can click on the trip to view the reason(s) why the trip cannot be imported.
Common reasons why a trip cannot be imported:
- The Origin and/or Destination address is not valid (we use Google Maps to validate addresses).
- The date and time of the trip overlaps with an existing trip for the same user. Our system considers this a duplicate trip.
- Email address does not match any existing email address in your Kliks company.
- Email address entered matches a user account but the user's account status is not active.
