For Kliks to be able to automatically record your trips (note, this setting can be disabled), there are three settings that must be set correctly:

  1. Location Services: set to 'Always' for the Kliks app.
  2. Precise Location: On.

How to Check Your iPhone Settings:

  1. Open Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
  2. Make sure Location Services is on for your iPhone.
  3. On the Location Services page, scroll down until you see the Kliks app. Tap on it to view the Location Services settings for Kliks:
  4. Make sure "Always" is selected.
  5. Make sure Precise Location is on.

Installing the Kliks App for the First Time:

If you just installed Kliks for the first time (or deleted and reinstalled the application), follow these steps to ensure Kliks is setup correctly for automatic trip recording:

  1. Open the Kliks app.
  2. When the Kliks opens, you will be asked to allow Kliks to use your location. Select "Allow While Using App".
  3. Next, you will be asked to allow Kliks to send you notifications. Select "Allow".
  4. The last step is to go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Kliks, and set Allow Location Access to  "Always" (see step #3 above).
  5. Now, you're ready to login and start using Kliks to automatically record your trips!

Notes:

  • After installing and using Kliks for a couple of days, you may receive a prompt asking if you want to "allow Kliks to use your location even when you are not using the app".  If you receive this, select "Change to Always Allow."

Please select "Always Allow"

  • If Location Services is set to "Never" when you open the Kliks app, you will be notified and asked to change this setting to "Always."
